Use of this website

Your use of this website is subject to the following terms and conditions, which may be varied at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance.

This web site is provided on an “as is” basis. No warranty, express or implied, or any other claims are made for the factual accuracy of any articles, messages or advertisements placed, or for the merchantability or fitness for purpose of any items advertised.

Under no circumstances will Bartlett’s Hi-Fi, their suppliers, or any associated companies be liable for any damages, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, loss of business/earnings or special damages resulting from the use of this service or any subsequent transactions carried out with any party contacted through this service. Use of this service constitutes your acceptance of these conditions.

Acceptance of orders and payment

When you place an order with Bartletts Hi-Fi, an e-mail confirming your order will be sent to you. Your order is deemed to be an offer to purchase at the price(s) stated in the order. Your order is only deemed to have been accepted and the contract completed when Bartletts Hi-Fi have dispatched the goods to you. You are responsible for the goods when they have been signed for and accepted and any loss or damage to the goods will be at your risk.

Payment by credit/debit card – we accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo and Maestro but goods can only be shipped to the card billing address.

Payment by PayPal – your payment must be cleared before we will despatch your goods.

Payment by BACS – we accept bank transfers and payments by cheque. Payments must be cleared before we will despatch your good(s). Please contact us for bank details at sales@bartlettshifi.com if you would like to pay by bank transfer.

In some cases, we do not display our discounted prices. For these items, please call us on 020 7607 2148 for our best price and availability.

Pricing

All prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate. Prices for individual items do not include carriage charges as these are added at the shopping basket stage.

Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of pricing information on the website, errors may occur and prices may change. Prices are verified prior to dispatch of items. If the correct price is lower than the price shown on your order, the correct price will be charged. If the correct price is higher than the price shown in your order, we will notify you and either give you the option to cancel the order or to pay the correct price, or else notify you that we are cancelling the order.

Delivery

Mainland UK deliveries: free delivery on all our products. Where an item is in stock, and the order is received before midday, we aim to despatch the same day, for next business day delivery. Items ordered after midday on Friday, or on a Saturday or Sunday, or before midday on Monday will be despatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Overseas deliveries: there will be a charge on all our products for overseas deliveries which is calculated and added when placing your order depending on the product and your delivery address.

When your order is received, we will send an email to confirm that the goods have been dispatched if they are in stock, or to give an estimated delivery time. If we can only fulfil part of an order immediately, we will contact you to ask whether you want the available item(s) delivered immediately, or wait until the whole order can be completed.

Most items will require a signature, so you will need to be at the delivery address to receive and sign for the goods.

Returns

Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 No. 2334), you have the right to cancel your contract with us and return the good(s). If you wish to exercise this right, you must notify us that you wish to cancel within 7 (seven) days, either by letter, fax or email (sales@bartlettshifi.com). Goods should then be returned to us at your expense, undamaged and in the original packaging including all original accessories. Shipping charges are non-refundable. We strongly recommend that you use a form of delivery that provides tracking and insurance should the goods be lost or damaged in transit. If this method of shipping is not utilised, we cannot be responsible for any non-receipt of the goods. If you are unable to arrange the return of the goods, please contact us and we can arrange for collection, the cost of which will be charged to you. The goods must be properly packaged.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your refund is approved, it will be processed and a credit will automatically be made to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same item, you must notify us by email sales@bartlettshifi.com and send your item to Bartlett’s Hi-Fi, 175-177 Holloway Road, London N7 8LX. Goods should then be returned to us at your expense, undamaged and in the original packaging including all original accessories. Shipping charges are non-refundable. We strongly recommend that you use a form of delivery that provides tracking and insurance should the goods be lost or damaged in transit. If this method of shipping is not utilised, we cannot be responsible for any non-receipt of the goods.

Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Bartletts Hi-Fi Gift Vouchers are redeemable against any merchandise in the Bartletts Hi-Fi Store and online at www.bartlettshifi.com. Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash. For purchases in store or online, the full value of the Gift Voucher must be used at the time of purchase. Gift Vouchers must be submitted upon redemption in store. Gift Vouchers will expire one year after the date of issue shown on the Gift Voucher. Gift Vouchers presented after their expiry date will be treated as void and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Please treat Gift Vouchers as cash in terms of security. Gift Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged. Bartletts Hi-Fi reserves the right to refuse to accept a Gift Voucher which it deems it to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud. If you have cause to return goods purchased with Gift Vouchers in store or online, the amount paid by Gift Voucher will be returned in the form of a new voucher.

Bartletts Hi-Fi reserves the right to change any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action including cancellation of the voucher if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary.

How the process of buying Gift Vouchers Works

As soon as you place your order, you will be sent an email informing you that your order has been received and is being processed. You will be sent a further email when your order has been dispatched.

If there is a problem with your order, we will contact you via email. On some occasions, we may be unable to process an order; if this is the case, we will send you an email explaining why your order failed. You may need to re-visit our website to place another order, using a different form of payment.

Delivery Options & Charges

We use Royal Mail tracked service to deliver our Gift Vouchers. Delivery charges are free within UK and Ireland. International postage will be charged at £9.00.

Please note Gift Voucher orders require a signature on delivery. If there is no-one available to sign for the package on arrival, a card will be left by the postman informing the recipient that an attempted delivery was made.

The Gift Voucher will then be taken to the nearest Royal Mail Enquiry Office, where it will await collection by the recipient. Please note that we cannot deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

If items purchased online with a Gift Voucher are returned, a refund will be given in the form of a Gift Voucher, which can then be used online or in store. This does not affect your statutory rights.
