Standing a metre high and capable of seriously sonorous sounds, the DALI OPTICON 6 is a master of music that delivers thunderous bass and perfectly pitched mids and highs in unequalled equilibrium. 

OPTICON 6 has all the virtues of the OPTICON 5 with the added power of an extra 6½ inch woofer. The featured twin 6½ inch low-loss Wood Fibre Woofers complete with our unique SMC magnet motor system, assisted by our combined Soft Dome and Ribbon Tweeter module, delivers audio with wow-factor. Combined with the extended internal cabinet volume, the OPTICON 6 reaches lower into the deep bass producing an even more impressive broader soundstage. 

Its high sensitivity and even impedance load together with its impressive ability to reproduce undistorted audio makes the OPTICON 6 the perfect balance between size and performance. Add in gold-plated bi-wiring terminals, and the OPTICON 6 is the sender of soul-moving music to the ears of those that demand more.

Hybrid Tweeter

The new OPTICON MK2 hybrid tweeter marries the CALLISTO-derived 29 mm soft dome with a custom 17 x 45 mm ribbon - mounted on a cast aluminium faceplate that incorporates dispersion control detailing. This combination offers the clarity, speed and dynamics of a dome tweeter, with the very high frequency detail and smooth finesse of a ribbon tweeter.
 

Made in Denmark

Manufacture of the OPTICON MK2 series has been retained firmly at our Danish factory. Our in-house woodworking facility handles everything from cutting the MDF enclosure panels to applying the surface finishes. Assembly by hand, testing and quality approval on each and every speaker is also handled on our own assembly lines.

Reflex Ports

The newly introduced OPTICON MK2 Dual Flare technique brings port design into the realm of aerodynamics - with exit and entry flares carefully designed to minimise turbulence. Dual Flare enables OPTICON MK2 reflex ports to remain laminar and work effectively to reinforce low frequency performance to a significantly higher volume level than would otherwise be possible.

SMC Technology

The SMC used in OPTICON MK2's magnet motor system has very high magnetic permeability and very low electrical conductivity. It works primarily by minimising eddy currents in the magnet system pole piece. This improves flux linearity, reducing the magnetic hysteresis. Resulting in a significant reduction of electro-acoustic distortion.

The slim, floor-standing OPTICON 6 MK2 is the entry point in the OPTICON MK2 series for the renowned DALI hybrid soft dome and ribbon tweeter.

The OPTICON 6 MK2 offers a level of performance unavailable from any other OPTICON model. It combines immense low frequency bandwidth, volume potential and dynamic accuracy with the extraordinary detail and clarity that arises from the use of a dedicated midrange driver. High frequencies from the hybrid tweeter are explicitly detailed and informative yet simultaneously smooth and endlessly listenable.

The OPTICON 6 MK2 offers an extended low frequency profile that suits installation in large listening spaces with more distant room boundaries.

The manufacture of the OPTICON MK2 remains fully Danish - as with the MK1 series. Built at our factory in Denmark; from components produced in-house or sourced from the best specialist manufacturers locally and further afield.

The OPTICON 6 MK2 is available in Satin Black, Satin White and Tobacco Oak.
